Create your own furniture with O'verlays

You can update furniture and make it unique by placing plastic O'verlays on pieces of the furniture. They just stick on with stickies and can then be tacked on by the edges. I think it looks really cool. I have my grandfather's old dresser that I'd like to add these to. However, it will be tricky figuring out how to get these on and still have handles. Most of these designs are made for specific Ikea pieces.

You can stick O'verlays on glass.

I love colorful furniture

In fact, I am starting to re-do another piece of furniture I purchased at Goodwill for $10. I plan to paint it a bright glossy bluish-greenish color.
Before I sanded.
Wow, that dust is giving me black boogers. Gotta stop inhaling it.
Grr. . . the sanding didn't go too well. I will try more sanding later. However, since I'm not using stain, I think the paint will be fine over the splotched wood. I could always paint it then sand some of the paint away to make it look antiquish. . . but I'm gonna go for the glossy version first. If it doesn't work, I'll have an antique table.
